A Golf Marathon is an exciting way to dramatically benefit New Life Island and, at the same time, have more fun on a golf course than you ever dreamed possible. Your goal will be to play 54 holes of golf in a single day. Impossible you say? We have a few special rules and arrangements that help make this possible: -You will score no worse than three strokes over par on any hole. (Pick up your ball and go to the next hole) - No stroke and distance penalty on OB shots (stroke only) - Each twosome will have its own cart. We do trust that each golfer will do their best to raise sponsorships for this event. The goal of the event is to raise funds for the scholarship fund. Sponsors can support their favorite golfer online. It is OK if you would like to play less than 54 holes. Come, join us and play as many rounds as you can.

Ask anyone and everyone. The more people you ask the higher your sponsorship will be. You can send sponsor letters in the mail or you can hand them out personally. People will sponsor you because they know you, and because of your belief in this cause, even if they don’t know about New Life Island. Some sponsors will give you a donation that you will bring with you to the marathon. Others will give you a completed sponsorship form. Once you hand in your forms your work is done. Except for playing golf of course! Your sponsors can also make their payments online. Just direct them to our website! Prizes will be awarded according to the amount of sponsorships each Golfer is able to raise. The more you raise the better the prize! There will be other prizes ranging from NLI scholarships to cool golf equipment. Many of these prizes will be given to those who do remarkable things on the golf course. The Golf Marathon is open to all golfers from 12 years old and up. Golfers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Parent-child teams are encouraged! New Life Island will provide snacks, drinks, lunch and dinner for all golfers.

Golfers can pay their $100.00 registration fee and their sponsors can give their financial support through the camp website, www.nli.org. This fee covers the cost of lunch & dinner, participation merchandise, prizes, and helps children come to camp!
