New Life Island Facilities
Check out the photos and info about our facilities to see if New Life Island would be a good fit for your next retreat!
We highly recommend visiting the camp before finalizing plans for your event.

Dining Hall
Our dining hall is a beautiful rustic space featuring wood floors, warm pine paneling, and a picturesque fireplace. The hall seats up to 200 guests for meals and, during colder months, serves as a combined dining and meeting space. It is equipped with a sound system and projection capabilities, making it well suited for group gatherings.

A newly added wraparound porch provides a perfect place to relax while staying sheltered from the sun or rain. The building is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp and an attached bathroom, and additional restrooms are located just behind the dining hall to accommodate large groups.

Pavilion
During the warmer months, chapel services and other gatherings can be held in our outdoor pavilion. This spacious venue can accommodate up to 200 people (with approximately 110 chairs currently available) and is equipped with a sound system and projection capabilities. Thirty ceiling fans help keep the pavilion comfortable even on hot days, and its convenient location next to the sand volleyball court makes it an ideal spot for both worship and fellowship.

South Cabins-Red Oak
South Cabins
We offer five South Cabins, all designed to provide comfortable accommodations with carpeted bedrooms and painted drywall interiors. Four of the cabins share the same layout: an entry room with two beds, two mirrored bedrooms with six beds each, and a Jack-and-Jill–style bathroom located between the bedrooms. Each of these cabins sleeps 14 guests.

The fifth cabin, Red Oak, features an open floor plan with a single large room that accommodates 12 beds. Every South Cabin includes a full bathroom with a toilet, shower, and sinks.

In total, the South Cabin circle provides 62 beds. These are camper-style bunk beds with mattresses slightly smaller than standard twin size.
Most groups are housed in the South Cabins, as they offer our most comfortable sleeping arrangements and are conveniently located near River Birch Lodge, which includes both a meeting space and a kitchen.

River Birch Lodge (South Lodge)
This building provides a convenient, centrally located gathering space for guests staying in the South Cabins. The lodge features a 20′ × 30′ meeting room that accommodates up to 40 people, highlighted by rustic beams, wood-plank ceilings, and a beautiful stone fireplace. The kitchen includes two refrigerators and a large commercial oven, along with a full attached bathroom for added convenience. Guests may also enjoy the covered front porch and an outdoor grill. Please note that this building does not currently have Wi-Fi or a permanent sound or projection system.

Opossum Lodge (North Lodge)
The North Lodge has been freshly remodeled and features pine plank accent walls, a beautiful stone fireplace, and stunning views of the river. Its 18′ × 30′ meeting room accommodates up to 30 people and includes a large modular couch for added comfort. Bathrooms are located just outside, in the adjacent section of the same building, and plans are in place to add an attached kitchen in the near future. With both heat and air conditioning, this lodge provides a comfortable gathering space year-round.

North Cabins
The North Cabins offer a more rustic lodging experience, featuring cement floors and wood-paneled walls. Each cabin consists of one open room that includes two twin beds and eight camper-style bunk beds, accommodating a total of 10 guests per cabin and 50 beds overall in the North Cabin circle. Guests staying in the North Cabins use a centrally located bathhouse adjacent to the North Lodge. Conveniently situated near the heart of camp, the North Cabins are just a short walk from the Dining Hall and most activity areas on the island.

Program Activities
Here is a list including our facilitated activities:
-
Pool: We have a large swimming pool with an exciting diving board in the deep end and a basketball hoop in the shallow end. The pool is only available for rental groups in August.
-
Canoeing: The camp has 10 canoes and 5 kayaks, which can accommodate about 25 people at a time. We typically paddle around the island, which usually takes about an hour.
-
Gel Blasters: This is essentially a scaled-down version of paintball, which means less painful, but still very exciting. We have two different courses and can accommodate 30 players at a time.
-
Archery Tag: This activity is basically a form of dodgeball, but with bows and arrows that have large foam tips. This game is a lot of fun and can take 24 players at a time.
-
High Ropes: We have 3 separate high ropes areas with a total of 6 different elements. Each of the three areas can handle about 20 people at a time.
-
High Ropes: Our main high ropes location with 3 different elements featuring various levels of difficulty.
-
Team Swing: A giant swing with one swinger and a team of people pulling them about 30 feet in the air.
-
Crate Stacking: This element involves two climbers building two stacks of crates as high as they can, while standing on the top.
-
-
Downriver Tubing: This is an option that is run by Bucks County River Country and charged on a per-person basis, unlike the other activities.
-
Island Tubing: This is an abbreviated version of downriver tubing and involves a 30 minute float along the length of the island.
-
Archery & BB Range: Our range includes archery, BB guns, slingshots, and even throwing knives (ages 13 and up).
Other non-facilitated activities include basketball, soccer, mini golf, sand volleyball, gaga, disc golf, carpetball, tetherball, ping pong, corn hole, hiking, Pebble Beach, and plenty of space for lawn games.
