Summer Staff
If you are reading this page you are probably interested in serving the Lord here at camp. Below we have placed links to all the forms and information that you will need to become a part of the exciting ministry of Christian Camping at New Life Island.
Please remember that we are looking for young people who know Jesus Christ as their Savior, are growing in their Christian walk, and who genuinely want to help others grow too. Of course, it doesn’t hurt if you like to have some fun while you are serving!
Here are the positions that are open for this summer:
- Camp Intern – A four and a half month internship encompassing our camping season. The intern position begins in May and ends in the late fall. The person who is selected will be involved in all aspects of the ministry. This person should have several years (summers) of camp experience. - Counselor – Two weeks of training and five weeks of making a difference in the lives of campers. If you have ever wanted to be involved in an effective, life-changing ministry, this is it! A summer at camp will teach you many things about people, ministry, and yourself. Applicants must be 18 years old; one year of college is preferred.
- Support Staff – Doing all the necessary “behind the scenes” jobs that make the ministry go. The support staff includes: life guards, kitchen, maintenance, summer secretary, snack shop, and craft shop workers. We are also looking for a media person to help with video, sound and photography. Applicants must be 15 years old when camp starts.
- Staff Assistant – If you would like to serve at camp, but can’t commit to six weeks, then this is the option for you. Our staff assistants are volunteers who work alongside the support staff. Applicants must be 15 years old when camp starts.
